Who is this guy anyway?

Once upon a time, there was an 8-year-old boy who found himself watching the original movie, “The Day The Earth Stood Still”. (For anyone who’s only seen the remake, it’s worth it to see the old black and white version!) I wanted to be Gort, the indestructible, nearly all-powerful robot, instead of starting third grade. My parents insisted on third grade.

One thing led to another, and though I got distracted by marriage and parenting and many years of working as a psychiatrist, science fiction always kept me company. When I retired and suddenly had some time on my hands, it was time to start writing sci-fi.

A year or so later, I finished Killer Aliens Vs.Badass Teens! Writing taught me a lot and it took me through the highs and lows, but it may be the most fun thing I’ve ever done. I’m proud of actually writing it, and I’ll be thrilled beyond words if I can get a couple of people to read it.

So, whether you’re a reader or a writer or a trombone player, I’d love to hear about your own creative journey. Whether we’ve got around to it yet or not, we’re all artists in our own ways.

¡Todos somos creativos!
